How To Fill In Those Spots In Songs Where Nothing Is Happening
This short video on piano playing has to do with adding filler to places in songs where not much is happening, for example when a melody note is being held 3 beats or more. I can think of songs where the melody actually sustains a note for 5 beats, and if you don’t come up with something interesting to fill up that space, your listeners are probably going to start thinking about something else beside your music!
