88 Keys On Your Piano Keyboard? Why Not Use Them?
Good morning, this is Duane and today I’d like to give you a 60 second tip on how you can improve your piano playing without practice. We’re going to do a series of these tips. There’s really several things you can do to improve your piano playing without having to add any practice time.
Most people play in the center of the keyboard. If they’re playing, let’s say “Moon River”, they play … It sounds like, right? It’s in the middle of the keyboard but you have 88 keys here. Actually seven entire octaves so why not when you play, even if you can’t arrange much, instead of always playing here, let’s say you’re just playing what’s written. How about the second time through doing like this. Okay? Or. Better yet, spread it all out. That doesn’t take any extra practice at all to use more notes so get in the habit of using the whole keyboard, not just this little two octave span in the middle.
That’s tip number one and I’ll be back tomorrow with another tip. A 60 second tip that will show you another way you can improve without having to add any practice time. See you then. Bye-bye for now.
