$12. Book On Amazon About Piano Chords And Chord Progressions!
“Piano Chords And Chord Progressions” – Great Book You Can Get On Amazon For 10 Bucks Or So!
Good morning, this is Duane and today I’m going to do something a little different. I want to tell you about a book on Amazon, I know the author personally and I can highly recommend it because it’s all about chords. It’s called “Piano Chords and Chord Progressions: The Secret Backdoor to Exciting Piano Playing.” It says, “Learn thousands of chords and the secret of exciting chord piano in 39 lessons.” This is a book I put together several years ago and of course, it’s not a video or anything, it’s a book you carry but it’s excellent to take on the plane or if you’re out in the yard or at a park or something and you just want to review what you’ve learned on chords.
It’s got 100 pages and there’s chapters on all kinds of things. I thought it was ten bucks but I see it’s $12. – but you can get a complete education on chords by reading it and heeding it, so it is a fantastic deal. There’s chord suspensions, there’s pictures of the chord suspensions. There’s alterations, how a chord can be altered such as a flat 9th and so on. There’s a chapter on slash chords and there’s a chapter on chord progressions part five. Chord progressions part six and so on. Wow, I forgotten how many chord progressions I included but there’s 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, I guess 19 kinds of chord progressions.
It starts out, of course, with basics, major chords. The three chords you really have to know then major chords, minor chords, piano chord inversions, chords upside down and here it shows them both on the staff and in the pictures. I don’t know how well you can see this on the video but I’m going to show you close up.
There’s diminished triads, augmented triads, major six chords, minor 6 chords, major 7th chords, all the 9th and 11th and 13th chords. Diminished 7th chords and so on, okay?
It’s a paperback book and I don’t sell it so don’t ask me to sell it because I can’t sell it. It’s available on Amazon for about $10.00 so it’s a terrific bargain. It’ll just supplement your piano studies and you can always review, have something, a simple book like this on hand to review.
Now I’m going to go to Amazon and I’m going to show you what it looks like and how you can order it and so on. We’ll see you in just a second here. Okay, here we are at Amazon and that’s what the book looks like as you know. “Piano Chords and Progressions: A Secret Backdoor to Exciting Piano Playing” and it really is.
Once you learn those chords, that gives you an entrance into piano playing that most people don’t take advantage of and don’t know. Most people learn to read music, which is great and I think you should learn to read music but by knowing chords you understand the structure of music and you can start playing things that you just could never play by just looking at the printed music.
Anyway, that’s what it looks like and I’m going to flip to the back here. That’s the front actually. That’s the back. That’s the Table of Contents that we talked about but let me just walk you through it quickly. What piano chords do I absolutely, positively have to know? You don’t need to know all of that, it’ll be helpful if you did but you have to know three chords for sure in the key you want to play in.
We start with the major chords, minor chords, the inversions of chords, chords upside down, diminished triads, augmented triads, major six, minor six, 7th, major 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, diminished 7th, chord suspensions, alterations, slash chords, minor 7th chords and chord progressions 1 through, what did we say, I think it was 19 or something like that. Yeah, 19 and then a review and then some resources for a musician.
Oh, a little look on the inside here. I didn’t know you could see this but you can go to Amazon and see all of this too. This is inside of the book so, yeah, it gives you a real good view better than the video I just showed you.
Let me show you what a couple of people said about it. This guy said, “Exciting piano. I feel like I died and gone to heaven.” You can read that but “I took lessons for awhile and had to see a teacher every week and learn maybe two things each time. Never did completely understand and then drill after drill after drill. This was going to take years and I didn’t have patience or motivation, this book changes all that and teaches you dozens of chords in a short period of time and you understand them and can use them immediately. The author makes it fun with the humorous, real life, practical approach.” Thanks, appreciate that.
This guys says, “A great book that makes learning chords fun, fast, easy and fun.” He just talks about, “The book breaks a vast number of piano chords into well defined groups and explains the simple rules, allows the students to move from one group to the other.” “I’ve bought many books in the hopes of learning chords quickly and none of them came close to this book. Highly recommend it.”
This fellow is apparently a jazz drummer and he said, “Man, I’ve been playing in jazz groups for over 50 years, hearing all those tunes, we call standards, listening to all those base lines, keeping rhythm but I’ve never understood the reason for all the changes until I bought this book on piano chords and progression. Now I understand just how important a 1, 4, 5 chord progression is. It’s used in playing blues all the time.” Yes, it is.
The blues is built on 1, 4 and 5. If you master 1, 4 and 5, you can basically play the blues. You have the context of the blues. You add a 7th, of course, but it’s really easy after that. Anyway, that’s a few testimonials. There’s all kinds of testimonies so you can read them when you go to Amazon.
To find it on Amazon, all you do is type in “Piano Chords and Progressions” and this should come right up. Yup, there it is. “Piano Chords and Progressions”. Hope you take advantage of it because for $10.00, it’s a little over $10.00, it’s a terrific resource to have to review what you’ve learned and to learn more stuff. Hope you take advantage of that. Thanks.
