Harmonize Thousands Of Songs

     Did you know that piano players can learn to harmonize thousands of songs using just simple major chords? It’s true. There are only 12 possible notes for a melody, and there are also 12 major chords, so any melody note can be harmonized by one or more (usually three) major chords. For example, if the melody of a song starts on G, that G can be harmonized by the G chord, the C chord and the Eb chord. You can get much more complex than that, but those 3 chords are the easiest way to start harmonizing.
