The Amazing Diminished Seventh Chords

Diminished seventh chords are amazing because they can lead to any key, any other chord. So they are the perfect chord to use when modulating between keys.  And there are only three different diminished 7th chords – they each have 4 notes each spaced a step and a half away from each other, so each can be inverted 4 times and therefore used in any of the 12 possible keys.
