This is my interview with Patti McCoy, one of the world’s greatest pianists, who lives just a couple miles from me here in Oregon. When she was a late teenager she was known as “The Little Girl of Jazz” and has played with many of the great jazz artists, including bassist Ray Brown. She has recorded many albums, including her own quartet at Birdland in NY.

You’ll learn a ton about how jazz developed and you’ll hear her play styles from Ragtime to BeBop right up to Fusion.
